NFL Underdog Pick: Week 10

NY Giants (+3) at Philadelphia Eagles
How in the world are the Philadelphia Eagles actually favored this weekend over the NY
Giants? Oddsmakers are showing a complete disrespect towards the Giants.
Let's see, the Giants are:
- Defending Super Bowl Champions
- 7-1 record so far in 2008
- Have won 12 out of their last 13 road games (we are not sure what happened
in Cleveland that Monday Night)
- Have the 2nd ranked defense and 5th ranked offense
- Have no serious injuries to key players
- Don't have to deal with the distraction of Playboy hottie Kendra Wilkinson
Alright, so enough with the Giants. I have tried to think of scenarios in
which the Eagles could actually win this game. One scenario is that Eli
Manning has a complete meltdown and tosses several interceptions. He has
been a little suspect the last few weeks but the Giants were still dominant
enough to win anyways. Second scenario, the Eagles offensive line gives McNabb
enough time in the pocket to pick apart the Giants weak secondary. Not
likely, the Giants defensive front is the best in the league and will find ways
to get to and sack McNabb.
Take the G-Men straight up and forget the points. |
