NFL Underdog Pick for Week 8

Dallas Cowboys (+3.5) at Philadelphia Eagles

To be honest, I had to look at the spread a couple times before it sunk in that the Dream team was favored. I actually had the Cowboys favored by a field goal in this matchup. Andy Reid is 12-0 following a bye week, so that may have something to do with it. However, streaks are meant to be broken. Just ask the Patriots, the Cowboys were the first team to hold them under 30 points for the first time in 14 games.

I really like the direction and style of football that the Cowboys have played the last few weeks. They are leaning more on their solid defense and have a balanced attack on offense limiting the mistakes that have haunted Tony Romo. The Cowboys advantage in this game lies within the trenches. Their offensive and defensive lines should be able to control the line of scrimmage making it a long night for the Eagles.

I also have Rob Ryan to back up my prediction. He said, "I don't know if we win the all-hype team," Ryan said. "I think that might have gone to somebody else, but we're going to beat their ass when we play them." (source: dallascowboys.com)

You have to like this trend as well, the Cowboys are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against the Eagles.
