NFL Bargain Bets for Week 8

Wow - I even surprised myself on this one. Apparently the lean years are coming to a close and the Rams are actually fielding a decent team these days. More than I can say for non-competitive team that calls themselves the Panthers.

Yes, the Panthers finally got off the schnide last week in their home victory over the lowly San Francisco 49ers with a last minute field goal. They passed for over 300 yards and for the first time showed some grit. However, they faced an extremely weak pass rush and things should feel much differently this week on the road against an improving and growingly aggressive Ram pass defense.

The Rams are 3-1 at home thus far this year and Bradford seems to feel much more comfortable there. The Panthers are winless on the road and allowing an averaging of 260 passing yards per game.

The arrows on these two teams are headed in different directions. I'll go with the better quarterback and defensive line.
