Pilfo's Parlay Week 8
October 29th 2010 - Pilfo
Jacksonville + 6.5 / Tampa + 3 / Tenn. + 3.5
I shall deem this the "Which Coach loses his job first Bowl". We have seen
Jacksonville put up some good efforts this year and we have seen them put in
some clunkers. The Jags believe they can win this game and they will show up to
play. On Defense they will take away the mid-range passes leaving Kitna the
choice of a check down for a small gain or a long pass which will be under
thrown for an interception. On offense it will be the MJD show this week. The
Jags are still in the playoff race and the Cowpokies are done. AFC vs. poor NFC
here. No more motivational speeches are going to work. While Kitna showed he can
still play last week, he came into a game where he was behind and wasn't being
blitzed too often. I think you will see the same old Dallas team on the field
this week. They find ways to lose. Take the points.
Prediction: Jacksonville 20-17
Give me another excuse to go against the lowly Cardinals and I will jump on
it. The Cards are really a bad team as I have said before and they are laying
points again. They have Larry Fitzgerald for God's sake and they can't get him
the ball. He rarely gets double-teamed either because the opposing defense
doesn't have to double team him. You need a QB in this league to win. Max Hall
had a QB rating of 9 when he went down last week. The Bucs have been a little up
and down but at least they have an "up" gear. The Bucs while not being a great
team, they are a well rounded team. Take the team on the rise not the team on
the decline.
Prediction: Bucs 24-17
I'm not sure what gives the odds makers the right to keep giving the
Chargers respect. The Chargers are a shadow of the team they were a year ago.
They have lost key players both to other teams and through injury. Vincent
Jackson can't help if he's not playing either. The Chargers are still fighting
and playing well in two phases of the game but their special teams have killed
them this year. The Titans are a solid team. They have a great coach and they
are in every game. Whether it's Vince Young or Kerry Collins running the offense
this team performs. Titans in a high scoring game.
Prediction: Titans 31-27
