Pilfo's Parlay Week 5
October 8th 2010 - Pilfo

St. Louis +3 / New Orleans - 6.5 / Minnesota + 4

The first place Rams vs. the last place Lions. Who would have thunk it? The Rams are actually looking like they could win their weak division. This is the type of game they will have to win though to prove worthy. The Rams defense is looking like an above average unit and seems to play well together. The Rams offense looks better than many offenses in the league a la the Chicago Bears. Bradford should put up a lot of points on the Lions this week who still have Shaun Hill at the reigns. Laurent Robinson returns to give Bradford even more options. The Lions can move the ball against any team but can't seem to stop anyone on defense. The improved Lions continue their losing ways though.

Prediction: Rams 31-24

I keep saying it and I keep winning. The Cardinals are so so bad. The Cardinals now start their rookie, undrafted quarterback this week in Max Hall in a desperation move to keep the fans interested. Who, you say? Exactly. This game shouldn't even be allowed to happen it is so lopsided. The Saints are not exactly in top form partially due to injuries but they will be ready for this game. Just look at last week's boxscore between the Cardinals and Chargers and copy and paste onto this weeks stats. They should be identical.

Prediction: Saints 41-7

Minnesota coming off a bye week and adding Randy Moss vs. the improved Jets offense. A great game in the making here. This game should be a defensive, bone crushing game. The Jets offense has looked good the past few weeks and Sanchez has definitely improved. Sanchez also gets Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes back for this game. Revis also is due to return to face Moss again. Last time Moss beat Revis for a touchdown and caused Revis to re aggravate his hamstring on the same play. Revis recently came out and said that Moss doesn't play every play at 100% and dogs it a lot. I believe the Minnesota defense will give Sanchez more problems than he has run into this year causing a couple of turnovers. I believe the Favre to Percy Harvin combo will be lethal now that Moss will help stretch the field. Look for a great game but 4 points is too much here.

Prediction Vikings 20-17
