Divisional Playoff Prediction: Chargers vs Colts
January 11th 2008 by Special K
Indianapolis Colts -9 vs San Diego Chargers Norv
Turner will not be performing his little salsa dance on the sidelines this
weekend as the Colts will crush the Chargers. The Colts are completely
healthy and ready to roll on into Foxboro next weekend. Forget about how
the Chargers already beat the Colts this season and how they play them close.
Peyton Manning threw 6 interceptions, Sproles returned a kickoff and punt return
for a touchdown, the Colts had just finished playing the Patriots the week
before, the only healthy WR was Reggie Wayne, and Freeney was lost during this
game. The Colts still almost won the game, but Adam Vinatieri missed a game
winning 29-yard field goal after a very suspect penalty.
Need I mention the Chargers leading receiver Antonio Gates is looking doubtful
for Sunday? That means much more focus will be placed on stopping LT.
The Titans did a great job of this in the wild-card round which put the pressure
on Rivers to deliver and he did. However, in the hostile RCA Dome, Rivers
will have his work cut out against a defense leading the lead in allowing the
fewest points per game.
