NFL O/U Game of the Week
December 18th 2009 - Special K
New York Giants at Washington Redskins (Over 43 points)
The last 5 games between the Giants and Redskins were all under 43 points but
that was when the Giants actually had a formidable defense and Redskins offense
was operating under Jim Zorn. I'm predicting a shoot out in DC on Monday Night!
Over the last three games, the Giants defense has given up an average of 31
points per game and almost 400 yards of total offense to opponents. Meanwhile,
the Redskins have been putting up nearly 30 points per game and 350 yards of
offense in their last three games. The Redskins offense looks completely
different under Sherm Lewis than it did at the beginning of year while Zorn was
making the play calls.
Remember when the Dolphins announced that Bill Parcells was stepping in to run
operations? The Dolphins went out and actually won their first and only football
game that year. On Thursday, the Redskins
announced that they have hired Bruce Allen as their executive vice president and
general manager. This Redskins players could be auditioning for their new head
coach, rumor has it as either Jon Gruden or Mike Shanahan. I look for an
inspired group of Redskins to put up a tough fight against the Giants who are
also battling for the last wild card spot.
