NFL Underdog Pick for Week 15
December 17th 2009 - Special K
Green Bay Packers (+1.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers
Honestly, there weren't a whole lot of underdogs I really liked on the board for
week 15. However, the Green Bay Packers have no business being underdogs to the
Pittsburgh Steelers. Yes, the Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers are a
really bad football team this year. We are talking about a team that lost
straight up to the Raiders, Chiefs and Browns as 10+ point favorites.
Let's also not forget the fact that they couldn't cover against a Daunte
Culpepper led Detroit Lions team without Calvin Johnson in the lineup. Admit it,
the Steelers defense has never recovered from the injuries to Troy Polamalu and
In our power rankings, the Packers come into week 14 ranked 7th and the Steelers
are ranked 17th. Yet, the books have Steelers favored? Dom Capers has the
Packers defense playing their best football and peaking at the right time of the
year. In the last three weeks, the Packers have only given up an average of 13
points and 237 yards of total offense to their opponents. The offensive
statistics heavily favor the Packers over the Steelers as well. Aaron Rodgers is
becoming an elite NFL QB. Unlike the Steelers, the Packers were also able to
cover the spread against the Lions!
Take the Packers to win straight up
