The Colts are very fortunate teams to have an experienced backup QB like Matt
Hasselbeck, just ask the Dallas Cowboys. Hasselbeck is 2-0 so far this season.
In the two games that I have seen Hasselbeck play in, he has made good
decisions, still has decent arm strength, and could extend plays. For fantasy
owners, Andre Johnson was a big beneficiary with Hasselbeck under center, while
Luck and Johnson were clearly not on the same page.
With Hasselbeck you aren't going to have the big plays downfield but you are
also not going to have the careless interceptions. The Colts offense should
function fine against a Falcons defense that couldn't stop 4th string running
backs that walked off the street in San Francisco. The Falcons also made Blaine
Gabbert look good enough that he gets another start this week.
The Colts have played one of the toughest schedules to date, losing to the
Patriots by a TD, almost knocking off the Panthers in OT, and they beat the
undefeated Broncos. We also all know that when it comes down to crunch time, the
Falcons will settle for the field goal, so the Colts should be good covering a
six point spread.
