Oakland Raiders (+5.5) vs LA Chargers
Obviously, the point spread is factoring in this being a home game for the
Chargers. Yes, the football game is in LA but it the seats will mostly be filled
by Raiders fans. Yes, the Chargers home field advantage is nonexistent. Take
away the 2.5-3 points for home field and the line should be Chargers minus 3.
Playing on your home field and having to use signals for play calls is really
annoying for Philip Rivers.
Jon Gruden, well actually Derek Carr saved the Raiders locker room last weekend.
A loss to former coach Hue Jackson and the Browns would have been devastating.
Now the Raiders have new life and visit the Chargers where they are 7-2 ATS in
their last 9 road meetings and the underdog in this series is 15-3 ATS. Listen,
CJ Beathard came in and threw for almost 300 yards and 2 TD passes. I
expect Carr and the Raiders #2 ranked offense to have even more success against
a Bosa-less Chargers defense.
