NFL O/U Plays for Week 7
October 20th, 2012 - Special K
2010 Record:
24-11 (67.6%)
2011 Record: 32-17 (65%)
Rough stretch here lately on my O/U picks. I am going to need to go on a serious
run to get to the winning percentages I have record for the last two seasons.
Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings (Under 20 points first half)
The Cardinals offensive line will struggle once again to protect their QB
Skelton. The big question in this football game is whether Skelton will survive until halftime. I
predict a slow start on offense for the Cardinals and the Vikings will be
conservative as usual.
Green Bay Packers at St. Louis Rams (Over 22.5 points first half)
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense has settled in. I think the offense needed
some time to adjust to the loss of Jennings. The Packers have been great at
jumping out to early leads and then taking the foot of the pedal in the 2nd
half. The Packers are starting to look
like the 2011 offense that put up 35 points per game. My only concern here is
whether the Rams can put up a few points in the first half. Clay Matthews will be in the Rams
backfield more then Steven Jackson will this week.
New England Patriots at New York Jets (Over 47 points)
This is time of year to start checking out the weather forecast. Sunny and
mid-60's in Foxboro, perfect. The Patriots are going to score at least 31
points. They would have put up 30+ against a great Seattle defense on the road
last week had the Patriots not squandered their red zone opportunities. Can the
Jets put up 17? Probably. I'll take the over.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Oakland Raiders (Under 43 points)
The Jaguars haven't scored 43 points in their last four football games
combined. Rain is also in the forecast. The Raiders will score enough to win the
football game but not go over the 43 point total. |
