Never a good policy to take a road favorite, but if you were ever going to do it
this is the kind of game.
The Vikings are beat up at RB with their stud rusher, Adrian Peterson,
questionable and hasn't practiced all week. If he doesn't go, then you can
assume his backup Toby Gerhart will be a serviceable runner, right? Wrong! He is
also banged up and questionable. Who knows who their third stringer is. Who
cares!
For most teams that may not even be important, but to a team that really counts
on their rush game to keep them in games, these injuries are very significant.
The Vikings have no continuity in their passing game and have been switching in
and out QB's, WR's, and TE's all year, not to mention that both their #1 and #2
TE's are now on IR.
Philly on the other hand is on a roll. Nick Foles has proven to be much more
productive in the new Chip Kelly offense and the Eagles are 5-1 against the
spread in their six road games this year.
The Vikings have nothing to play for and the Eagles are fighting to win their
and division - likely the only way they can get into the playoffs.
